Beast is bad. The metaphysics it's getting its dirty hands on, the Astral Realms, are good. Also the fact that Beasts live at the bottom of the Temenos is just begging for Mages or Woofs to come kick them in. Also the idea that their 'Dark Mother' can veto other splat templates if a Beast cures their beastliness is really annoying,

Is it bad that imagining a Beast stumbling past the Sidereal Wastes and thinking they've found the true lair of their Dark Mother, only to find some mages hanging out down there doing Mage Things, is bringing me joy? Or a Beast getting hunted by woofs in dreams. Just generally learning that actually the Anima Mundi has a lot more going on than just their deal. ...actually what I want is Dahhak to be pointedly mean to a Beast until they get booted from the Anima Mundi by the Ecstatic Wind. That would be hilarious.

Huh, Legion question: How would werewolves fight it, if it can possess them instantly with a touch? Are we given suggestions on how to prevent combat with Legion from turning into 'now we have to kill our buddy?'

Mors Rattus posted:Someone's going to have to keep playing with him. He's not about to play solitaire - if you challenge him, you have to play too. What about a Gawain and the Green Knight scenario? Challenge him to a test of Being Impaled With Sharp Objects By Turns (note: Names needs work) then just werewolf regenerate as hard as you can and as long as you can. To be clear this would rule, that's not a complaint.

It's a a question of skill, isn't it? So it can't just be random, it has to satisfy the Geryo's idea of what a skill is. Presumably a number of board games wouldn't count, but hmmm.

Kaza42 posted:Does it play to win, or will it throw games to get out of the challenge? Because there could be a game with a "must win by X points" rule you could theoretically keep going indefinitely Similarly, a game of skill can be really unbalanced - but also only end when one party achieves their goal. Like, for a really dumb example, hide and seek with Quattor where your first move is to get on an airplane and have your packmates track it remotely.

Playing Strangers on a Train with WoD splats is normally a really terrible idea, but Geryo don't really form networks that will respond to a cross-splat hit by going to war. So, yeah, that seems like a good call, especially since Legion possession doesn't include any of the cool Woof powers.

It's worth noting that the point of Idigam (and their less glamorous new cousins, the Geryo) is that they're not one of the five tribal preys, nor do they really fit into any one of the categories but instead sprawl across them. They're outside context problems, something totally unknown to the balance of the world werewolves maintain. Void spirits are kind of that but rather than being a total unknown, they're just a worst case scenario that the Moon is supposed to mostly block in the first place.
