I mean the Polygon team are, as of today, also on their corporate retreat or whatever to the burning hellscape that is Portland, which could also explain the lack of speedy commentary on this issue. Not sure how many folks are away for that though.

Al Borland Corp. posted:Apparently there's a post about the situation in the cool games Inc Facebook group? Anyone a member? I am. That thread very quick got populated with "Nick is a rapist and we should obliterate all references to content of his in in this group" comments on one side and "well I don't see any evidence so you are all just witchhunting" on the other. The latter group was mostly just summarily banned. edit; actually that's a mischaracterization of the former group. There have been a lot of people who are basically saying that the very fact that some people in the industry seem to have been confirming that Nick did something is proof enough of misconduct. Polygon Show this week continues its trend of being a MBMBAM methadone, what with the spontaneous domain name buying and soft drink discussion, and I for one like it.

i'm listening to the MSLMSLAM 2019 episode and while i really enjoyed the play on the normal MBMBAM intro by travis, 10 minutes in it is basically the driest most awkward poo poo ever. it's like, a testament to how good the various McElwives are at playing the straight man. and that's as generous i can be. now on to the Will Smith-centric Wonderful episode. thanks for reading my plug for the maxfun drive folks.

I was spurred on by this thread to look at the TAZ fb group, and the first thing I saw was an OC fanart of the graduation characters thanking Travis. Someone quoted Justin's firbolg character (as a way of complimenting the OP), only for a mod to step in to clarify (with an implicit threat of being banned from the group) that it was, in fact, a compliment. Normal, and healthy fanbase.

Wonderful is joyous, I really like the dynamic between Griffin and Rachel, but I get how it might not appeal to MBMBAM and TAZ fans, though from time to time there are bits that would fit right into MBMBAM. In general it is a great show to listen to if you are feeling low or just want to hear something happy. I haven't gotten to anything about Griffin's Terrible 2020 as I have a huge backlog of episodes to listen to, since my podcast listening has dropped off about 96% since March.

Well the new episode of Wonderful is interesting. Seems like both Griffin and Rachel felt the need to vent and soapbox, which I can understand. Glad they are okay. Sounds like a harrowing week or so.

I'm getting jokerfied as munch squad starts looping back to extremely good, as it was this week. Their resounding mockery of Julio Hernandez or whatever's decision to open up a burger front in the chicken war, and then turning on a dime when they learned he'd worked at Burger King for 26 years makes me wonder if any of these PR managers and fast food CEOs have an email forward chain of munch squad bits with each other.
