I mean jesus it's not like they cancelled the show and replaced it with the Social Justice Comedy Hour, they just heard from some people that something made them cringe and so they said "oops we didn't realize" and changed it. Who cares?

I would like to listen to the McElroy brothers present the social justice comedy hour please.

I think the parts of say, mbmbam, where they awkwardly tiptoe around making fun of weird fetishes are a whole lot funnier than them just going eww furries sure are gross. A show like sawbones but for feminism instead of medicine would be pretty good.

You can watch all of mbmbam during the trial and never pay anything unless $6 a month for old SNL reruns sounds like a good idea to you

Weirdly the best cgi episode is munchlax analysis where it's barely even about video games. Also the griffin is dying of illness episode with the Nintendo egg.

Why do you care what other people think about your internet comedy hero? This isn't a court room so no one commenting on this has any effect whatsoever on whatever happens to him. (Nothing will happen to him)

I love nick robinson's content but even his public persona is kind of a creep.

None of us know any of the details for sure but I'm gonna lean toward defending victims of something that is incredibly common over assuming they're making poo poo up which is incredibly rare.

So big deal then? If it's unfounded then the accusations will fall away. Either way it doesn't affect you at all.

inferis

For what it's worth these rumors unfounded or not aren't new. I've seen people talking about this for months, so it's not just from the overcooked tweet.

but this wouldn't be only fans responding here, gamergate is a thing remember

unless they have a rock solid case then they women get torn apart when making public accusations and there isn't really evidence to show for (just as an example) "like 10 of my friends have told me about how gross this dude was to them when they worked together"

yeah but as far as i could tell this thread wasn't discussing it as a witch hunt and no one even said you're a bad person for consuming his content. i'm pretty sure most of the conversation was just, hey there's some prominent video games people vague tweeting about a person i like maybe doing some bad things and that's would be unfortunate because i like their work

As someone who is very quick to assume guilt about this kind of thing, there's honestly not a whole lot if you're looking for something specific and firsthand it's not really out there. It seems like it's gaining steam since earlier this evening so you're probably better off waiting a few days if you are more of a "listen to all the evidence" type of person

It's a little bit weird that so many people are demanding proof when none of this has even been a call to action to stop liking him or whatever. There's a lot of people who have done bad things that make content you like and it's not retroactively all garbage suddenly. Like, people still like Bill Murray and he's had multiple exes talk about him being physically violent.

You aren't a better consumer just because the people you like have or haven't done bad things.
