Its not bitching so much as we have just gotten used to being able to mark it and just download and play it later when we have time. Humble can sometimes be time limited. There are a couple games they gave out that I didn't get in time and cannot access now. It just says "The key for this product has expired".

The only free game that I have ever gotten that I have played, finished and replayed was Subnautica. Most free games that I have come across, and I search on near a daily basis because i am dirt poor, are just meh. OK, but i mean, this is likely why they were free right? Because they either just weren't that good or they are trying to drum up interest in their new one, like in Subnauticas case. e: not that good, is wrong, not appealing to a wide audience is probably a better way to put it.

While I played and finished Freespace 2 at least twice, I probably played and finished Freespace 1 at least 10 times. I always thought it was a much better game, though not as pretty. And the sense of scale hit me a lot more in 1. Something about flight inside those nebulas kinda irritated me though.

I can't really find a good explanation but thats the basics of it. From the same guys who made My time at Portia. A voxel based open world mining/crafting/hunting type game. It has a story mode or adventure mode (randomized maps with randomized quest givers) or just plain sandbox. It has voxel based crafting of guns, swords, cars, boats and air vehicles. Which you can save the designs of (called ISOs) or from the main menu, download others creations. If you can think of a sword or gun from a movie or game, you can make it, or chances are, someone already has. It had a decent rating on Steam before, but when they hosed up and just decided to put it up for free instead, it really pissed off angry nerds who had paid for it who then started leaving bad reviews. Its a little slow, but if you enjoy open world crafting games, its pretty decent.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/298610/Ylands/ Ylands has just gone free to play. Its a fun little sailing/driving/crafting/exploration game. Bought it at least a year ago and have only ever played single player. But I like it.  Now single player is a pay option while multiplayer still looks to be free. Though I may be wrong about this. In game currency buys stuff like servers, emotes, costumes and blueprints for houses/cars etc. I think its free to join a sever but about $7/m to rent one.

I hope one day that EGS figures out how to do a shopping cart. Amazon music had that problem a long time ago, where if I wanted 3 songs from an album I had to make 3 transactions. My card was always blocking me for sketchy transactions. Luckily thats not the case here.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance (squeeeaal) on EGS I remember everyone talking about how this game was going to be so good before it came out, and then I never heard a thing about it. While Steam reviews are decent, just wondering why I never heard anything about it. Also Aztez this week on EGS and Faeria next week.
