Relationship of Command is my favorite album of all time and I will drive anywhere in a three hour radius to see them (possibly more depending on the situation), but I'm keeping my expectations low either way.

A lot of my love for this band came after they split and Sparta's 'Wiretap Scars' has been on heavy rotation for the last 10 years. The New York show is going to be the day after the La Dispute/Thrice show as well. Going to be a hell of a weekend.

Geoff Rickley (lead singer of Thursday) came into the museum my friend works at on 12/31 last year, and asked my friend if he had any plans for the evening and he didn't make a single Jet Black New Year reference in response. Shameful.

Continuing our Thursday derail; I went to college not far from where they recorded 'A City by the Light Divided', 'Common Existence' and 'No Devolución'. They stayed up by the studio in the house next door to it and we kept running into the guys from the band, grocery store, cafes, bars it was really weird. They even played a secret show at this little punk dive that held maybe 150 people. One of the craziest shows I've ever been to. That is my bad story. But yes, have my Thrice tickets already, hopefully will be able to snag the ATDI ones and then the next night, that Saturday is supposedly the very last last last Bane show in Boston. Which is kind of one of those bucket list things and I doubt I'd ever be able to get tickets to that or survive it but that'd be one hell of a three day stretch.

If you've never seen La Dispute - I've seen them about three times, and they've all been some of the most energetic shows I've been too. I haven't seen them live since Rooms of the House hit, and I know the album was a bit slower, so I don't know what they might be like now. La Dispute during their "Wildlife" album though - good god, such good times. My favorite show of all time was a La Dispute show at Chain Reaction - the crowd at CR can get wild, and La Dispute killed it. Any info on when we can expect new ATDI music yet? Any leaks or info of any kind?
