Added user score and total players to Challenge Mode squad select screen
Changed Challenge events to display completion percentages of total players for an event
ADVENT soldiers now take an action when their shadowbound clone is killed
Enemy units will now move or take actions when the player Shadowbinds another enemy unit in the same pod
Challenge Mode replays will now automatically start playing
Fixed an issue where Focus drops were not occurring in Challenge mode
additional score break down and stats to leaderboard
Consolidated the objective and enemy score decrease messages into one message when appropriate

They did, unless there's two different bugs that make it happen, one for entering the screen and other for click on make items available.

That properly obeys covert action status: it'll ignore any soldier that's on a covert action when unequipping them.

It just didn't matter since entering the squad select screen at all would unequip items, judging from the patch notes.

Why doesn't it have a sane system where it first downloads the patch and then installs it though? Instead of slipping the bytes in one by one as it's seemingly doing now. I'm bothering Steam support about it because I'm turning into a crotchety old man and if they waste my time I get to waste theirs.

If patching in general is inconvenient, don't have auto-updates on and play with the older version until you choose to manually patch. For Valve's sanity's sake, not having multiple 10+ gig updates DL'd but sitting in limbo sounds like a sane idea on how to handle a library of 100+ updating titles.
