Post 'em? I've been stupid busy the last couple of weeks so I basically didn't see the last dozen pages of the last thread.
I might have to do the ol' image skim with DTA on that thread and then sift through the mess of snake tit pictures that were posted concurrently for the solid gold of right-wing pro-ADVENT punditry :unsmigghh:

There are a lot fewer of these than I thought :ohdear: or I saw them in other places with less robust image and post archiving (rip)

Plenty of people have beaten launch EU and EW on Iron Man no problems. If the game bugs out save and reload, if that doesn't fix it then just remember :xcom: and sometimes war isn't fair!
People who've played the series starting from EU don't know how good they've got it

They've never had to experience turn 1 blaster bombs inside of the Skyranger and save corruption shortly after

Well I like their thinking at least.

Eth 2: "Shall we give them legs at least and remove the huge cobra heads?"
Eth 1: "Thats a solid idea, anyone else?"
Eth 3: "Tits"
Eth 2: "Really? That seems a b-"
Eth 1: "Tits it is. Next up, the chryssalid. I'm thinking monster dong."
I'm imagining a bunch of Ethereals in suits at a board meeting doing just this :allears:

Google Fiber just needs to fart in more general directions so we all can have something resembling modern internet speeds

I kinda wonder whether victory will really mean victory here. Like I can see an ending where you've ended Project Avatar or whatever and there's widespread revolts throughout the world, and the Advent leadership is dead... but there's still millions upon millions of aliens still occupying the globe, and you've only dealt a temporary setback to their plans.
Even better if it's left ambiguous whether we did the right thing at all :jihad:

I really hope they are collecting the actual hit % data because from like 8 missions the reported percentages vs actual percentages have been routinely fucky.

I'm nearing the end of my first campaign (I think), and I'm wondering if there's ever any downside to civilians dying because of XCOM? Like, say, a frag grenade goes off a little too close to a building and removes the floor under a civilian. Or using a flamethrower inside an art gallery and kind of maybe setting the place on fire and hearing some civilians screaming in agony off-screen later on. Hypothetically of course. XCOM are the good guys and any allegations of war crimes are ADVENT propaganda.
The only civilians that count as civilians are the ones that reside in resistance bases. Everyone else is not free of sin. :commissar:

I love that the game itself doesn't care about civilians at all unless they're in rebel outposts. That's actually a legitimately nice touch in the game.
