Is this the try at around 60 minutes? Didn't see the game, but saw the video of it on the Fox Sports site. Yeah, it looks like it could be a double movement, but the Raiders were already ahead of the scoreboard anyway. How much did it actually affect the outcome of the game? Either way, if the official decisions are the talking points after a game every single week, then they're doing a poo poo job, and that sort of thing engenders doubt and antipathy towards the process, and it's clear that there needs to be some sort of action taken between now and the start of the next season because people will remember this sort of thing for a long time.

Apollodorus posted:He's been really solid as a center in Union, doing basically everything Burgess was supposed to. It also helps that he's actually consistently playing in a specific position rather than being shifted back and forth all over the place, and is being given the time and chance to develop into a union centre. The Burgess affair was a clusterfuck at almost every level, and he never really had a chance. They couldn't have hosed Burgess up better if they'd tried to set him up to fail. Bath played him at blindside flanker, while presumably coaching the necessary skills that he'd needed to compete in said position. Then he's chucked in at second-five at the test level because HE AM BE THE NARXT SANNY BOLL WULLAIUAIAMS , on the back of all of one game in that position. He's then immediately used in the Wales game against Jamie Roberts, one of the best midfielders in the world at the time, and then against Matt Giteau in a must win match, where he's all at sea and made to look like a chump going up against a hugely experienced player in that position. Stuart Dumbfuck Lancaster and Andy Dumbfuck Farrell somehow failed to notice that Sonny Bill didn't immediately become a top quality 12 in union overnight, he had a couple of seasons in French club rugby, and then he did time in one of the top rugby nurseries in New Zealand before he was called up into the All Blacks, and he was still largely regarded as a bench option behind a more established 12, albeit a highly valued one with regular game time. Only a massively arrogant, naive and colossally stupid set of coaches would fail to take note of that. So yeah, well done Lancaster and Farrell, you sure did a loving brilliant job at sabotaging your own World Cup campaign. loving idiots. Honestly, if you wanted a textbook exemplar of how to gently caress up your high-profile league-to-union convert, it's hard to look beyond Sam Burgess. Sure, Benji Marshall's jump was a massive clusterfuck, but at least his selection wasn't a contributing factor into a dumpsterfire of a world cup campaign. edogawa rando fucked around with this message at 08:38 on Aug 18, 2016 |

I hope for the Warriors sake he's a far better coach than he was a few years ago at the Eels, otherwise it's going to be a looooooooooooooong year. If this year is anything to go by, the players will continue to be a bunch of childish dickhead manchildren and keep loving up. You could have Batman as the coach, and the Warriors will be poo poo anyway.

Is anyone surprised that the Kiwis were absolute garbage? It was a fait accompli that Australia would win, considering the brains trust they had running the team at the top. The Kiwis, on the other hand, appointed a guy who's never coached seriously at the top level, who's still learning the game. There's shooting one's own foot, and then there's what the Kiwis did, which is blast away with a loving howitzer. The only real surprise is that they didn't get thumped by the English either.

Semi Radrada may have swapped codes and signed with Toulon in the Top 14 French club rugby competition. He also failed to appear in court on domestic violence charges. http://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl...6f18a1e644cb5d2 And if you're wondering if his legal trouble will give Mourad Boudjellal pause, keep in mind that Paul Perez has played for both Biarritz and Toulouse after being thrown out of New Zealand for assaulting his pregnant partner, twice. edogawa rando fucked around with this message at 19:12 on Nov 28, 2016 |

Speaking of the Warriors, Folau might line up for them in 2018. He's good friends with Manu Vatuvei and he's engaged to New Zealand netballer Maria Tutaia, who lives in Auckland. http://www.espn.com.au/nrl/story/_/id/18488688/wallabies-superstar-israel-folau-linked-nrl-switch
