Isn't it Gentilozzi's RSR that are running the Lexus?

The article does say state law requires a police report/investigation if an incident results in a driver is taken to hospital so it might not be that bad, but the photo shows one of the cars covered up which is normally not good :(

Bentley statement about the PWC crash:

quote:

“Bentley Motorsport can confirm that Bentley Team Absolute driver Andrew Palmer will remain in hospital following an incident at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut earlier today. He has sustained a head injury and is being closely monitored after treatment by specialists.

“Bentley’s Director of Motorsport, Brian Gush, comments: “Everyone at Bentley Motorsport is thinking of Andrew and we all send him our best wishes. We are a close-knit community and we have team members at the hospital with him and his family. We will continue to offer our support to them at this difficult time. Our thanks go to the trackside team at Lime Rock Park and the medical professionals who have helped Andrew so far.”

Does anybody know if the official Le Mans stream will have RLM commentary? I can't seem to find any info on it anywhere.

It won't, they haven't been using the radio feed at all for a couple of years now and Graham and John are too busy doing that to do the usual dedicated stream comms.

I can't even remember who they had last year but I do remember the small part I heard not being that great

If you buy it on the WEC site, you can also watch live on PC. They finally added the ability to watch afterwards but that's also only on the app as well.

tl;dr sign up on the site and connect to the app.

You can do it the other way and it should work automatically but I had to email them before Spa to get it to detect the purchase on the PC.

It was fairly obvious this was coming once IMSA announced all the alterations they were making to the formula (which they originally proposed to the ACO), at least it spares us any more bitching about BoP between P2s and DP(i)s.

Besides, as long as the Detroit round exists no-one is going to be running the same physical car in both IMSA and Le Mans anyway. They'll just rent a stock P2 from their DPi chassis provider like Shank did this year.

Edit: Showed their hands too early

The Ferrari 488 GTE has been handed a 15kg weight increase, with the Ford GT given 10kgs of additional weight and a slight reduction in boost pressures.

Both the Corvette C7.R and Aston Martin Vantage GTE, meanwhile, have been given a 0.2mm increase in air restrictor.

No changes have been made to the Porsche 911 RSR.

Keep the P1s, add in GT1s and have 2 classes that can fight for the overall win like in the late 90s and if one implodes due to crazy spending (like in the late 90s) you won't lose the entire top half of the grid in one go.

Only logical place in motorsport for it, use a standard P2 car as a base and prove it can handle running in faster, slower and same speed traffic without directly competing and having to go wheel to wheel with other cars.

Fair but I wonder if they'd take the risk of it loving up and ploughing through a slow zone at 200

Oh yeah, you'd need to be absolutely sure before you even suggested it to the ACO. If a driverless car does anything even slightly wrong during an event of this size it'd probably wreck the whole concept the world over.
