Well, the Sharks have him on waivers and the Barracuda haven't played him, so I'm pretty sure he's actually done at this point. Too hurt, too suspension-prone. Sad, because I liked him when we got him and liked the attempt to clean up his game, but in practice he's not been able to clean it up, he's been too hurt, and we honestly don't need what he was signed for anymore, on account of having to find that somewhere else. Like basically Mike Brown does the same thing but doesn't get suspended in the process and even he's not seeing a lot of ice lately, either. (TBH I'd be super-happy to drop Raffi and pick Scott back up because WHY NOT)

There's plenty of charity cases out there, every single team has someone on their roster who aren't able to contribute to NHL level play but are still hanging around. It's just a question of which one the fans latch on to next. Or how hard the NHL stuffs the "worst player in the NHL gets to be an all-star" contest down our throats next December.

I'm thrilled for John Scott today (though I don't know what the rest of his professional career will look like now), but the icing on the cake was just how loving sour Milbury looked afterwards. Definitely the most memorable NHL event for a long time.
