Just noticed ex-AFL player Fev is gonna be on I Used to be a Celebrity. Interestingly, each celeb gets to pick a charity (presumably there's prize money or something I dunno I've never watched the show) but anyway, looks like Fev has picked the Shane Warne Foundation. I wonder if he's gonna change his pick to a charity that still exists.

Should've switched on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend instead, it is a pretty fun show IMO. Sounds like the first game of the preseason was pretty bad, not that sad it's not on FTA, now.

Did Billy Brownless say more than he was quoted as saying here, or are people really getting him saying a wife 'belongs' to him from him saying other men shouldn't sleep with his wife? (Although if they were in fact divorced, still kind of a silly thing to say.)

Solemn Sloth posted:"don’t touch a man’s wallet, don’t touch his wife" I can't either, because saying two things together doesn't actually mean you're saying they're exactly the same. Also, 'compare' doesn't mean what you think it means.

I reckon Port, GWS and Bulldogs will make the 8 but I have no idea which teams this will be at the expense of. Except Adelaide. I reckon Adelaide will not make the 8.

To clarify, I'm not objecting to the specific minutiae of the current father/son rule, I am objecting to the idea of a father/son rule existing at all.

Hume's model has the Bulldogs beating Freo by 12 points, which I'm not all that confident of, but I reckon they'll be decent and make the 8 this year.

Diet Crack posted:"No good Friday footy, but hey, Easter Sunday is fine." Well Good Friday is traditionally a day of mourning, whereas Easter Sunday is one of celebration. So maybe a match like Essendon vs Melbourne would be appropriate for Good Friday. Or, since the day commemorates an unfair trial leading to an execution, the previous year's premiers could play a home game against the previous wooden spooners with the most easily swayed referees officiating.

Wingard definitely should've been kicking from right in front there. Two different defenders take him high and then continue pushing his head into the ground after the whistle's been blown about 4 times.

There's a draft and a salary cap. With regards to best players, Josh Kennedy is the reigning Coleman Medallist, (most goals kicked in a season, and started off this season pretty well with 8) Nat Fyfe and Gary Ablett Jr are widely considered to be the best midfielders, and Alex Rance seems to be one of the most highly rated defenders. You'll hear a lot of different opinions on who is the best, though. Don't know enough about Pepe to make a comparison. EDIT: Well crap.
