I might also add that I rarely saw another Accent of that year on the road, because it was a relatively new entrant into the U.S. market.

I current drive a 2012 Accent hatchback that gets from 37 to 41 mpg on the road, highway. It's great bang-for-the-buck at that price point.

Hyundais are cheap because they use old parts/technologies; I think they still use nearly the same i4 in their new accents that they have since 1994
