I Like KonoSuba A Lot but I read the novels and I think I like those a bit better. Oh well, they nailed the Dullahan fight and that's what's important.

So that was episode eight. A bit more lively than the last one, but I sort of miss the tighter gags of the earlier episodes. It's a shame they skipped an entire episode and only referred to it in flashbacks, but of course their time is very limited. The best moments this time around was the lich's quick aside where we saw Verdia being a total pervert, and how Aqua went on a furious exorcism rampage (sprinkled with party tricks) because evil spirits drank her booze.

Darkness gets even better later on when she starts getting forced into situations where she has to be a mature, reasonable adult. Sadly this series probably won't get that far.

Episode 8 AH so *she's* Wiz. Yeah I can see why that character is so po-oppai-ular. How much of the LN was skipped by so far?

They skipped Wiz's introduction (covered very briefly in this episode) in volume 1, some other guy trying the "I bet you wouldn't be so great without your party, why don't we try switching???" on Kazuma except Kazuma actually takes him up on that, and Kazuma and Aqua going through a dungeon by themselves because Kazuma wanted to grind his thief skills. They also made a few changes, like how in this episode Kazuma is surprised to find out Aqua was telling the truth about the dead girl, while in the LN he totally tuned out Aqua's speech and is just kinda like "huh, this name seems kinda familiar" when he cleans the gravestone. The ghost doesn't really do much but drink Aqua's booze though, so it's not important. They very clearly intend to end with volume 2's final fight, and the stuff they skipped can either just be recapped super hastily (like Wiz) or is for future volumes.
