Makes me wonder if an ICA slim jim might be an unlockable like the concealable knife, baton and 5mm. edit: on second thoughts, not sure that would be functionally any different from the lockpick. Maybe it can brute force keycard doors but has limited usage before it shatters. Another thing that seems to be coming from the E3 play through videos is you only start with one coin instead of three. Matinee fucked around with this message at 20:36 on Jun 19, 2018 |

The names and locations of the next missions might have been leaked! Don't click if you want to keep it secret. 'Sheep': New Zealand 'Flamingo': Miami 'Hippo': Colombia 'Mongoose': Mumbai 'Skunk': United States (nothing else to go on there) 'Magpie': North Atlantic

I'd be into those as destinations, though part of me holds out hope for a Hitman:Silent Assassin style skyscraper job in the City of London with some neighbouring squares/pubs/streets

Drunken Baker posted:Was the crowbar op or something? I never used them bar where required to drop lights on people etc. you can use them to break open all locked doors. The cost for this is that npcs will see the door is busted open and investigate the general area, but after a while go back on their regular patrols. The door is also stuck open after you use a wrench on them, similar to breaching charge behavior. So it's like an infinitely reusable breaching charge, at least for the purposes of breaking open doors/safes/...

Without killing them.

Nakar posted:Most maps had at least one crowbar on them and the crowbar was concealable, meaning all you had to do was pick one up and you had a "free" lockpick of sorts. Both picking locks and breaking open a door with a crowbar are suspicious actions, so you have to do either one out of LOS to NPCs, meaning they functioned more or less identically. Making only the lockpick concealable means that there's a reason to take it over just scrounging up a crowbar, as it's considerably more convenient and not illegal on Pro. Also, while the crowbar made noise that could make people come and investigate, that was often something you could use to your advantage — not to mention the fact that the crowbar itself was an excellent all-round noise maker. Perhaps not as magical as a coin, but also something that they wouldn't pick up that you would then have to get back.

Using a crowbar always seemed like it drew much more attention to me, the window of suspicion when lockpicking was real brief and silent so you could get away with it pretty easily even with other people around.

Looking around, a lot of people are having this stuttering problem all with ranges of computers better and worse than mine. The only correlation I can see is that everyone seems to have an i5 of some sort. The lower FPS doesn't even bother me, it's the constant stutter that makes it unplayable. I set everything to low and was able to get through once, but it was still bad. Hopefully IOI can figure it out and get a patch.

Absolution is absolutely fine if you treat it as a Splinter Cell-style game, and ignore the plot, which is like something a 14-year old would think is cool after they've discovered a Tarantino DVD boxset for the first time. It's a loving awful Hitman game though. Going by lore in the previous game, North Atlantic is probably a Hamsun oil rig, and the target may be an infamous pirate named the Hurricane that one of the targets in Colorado used to work for.

Booty Pageant posted:i cant wait for the immersion ruining voice acting where every but your target sounds the same across multiple continents!!! So far it looks like they made more of an effort when compared to Hitman 2016. All the non-English dialogue in Hitman 2016 was just random background noise, this time around it seems that they had voice actors doing dialogue in different languages.

My favorite part about Hitman voice acting is when you interrupt someone that has a well-done, fancy accent, and they completely drop it and with a completely different voice go “WOAH WHAT’S THIS GUY UP TO”.
