I loved assembling that sniper rifle, so I went through each stage looking for a practical reason to use it. The only stage I found where you can use the sniper rifle to get silent assassin and it isn't more difficult than fiber wire or silenced pistol is House of Cards. From the German guy's apartment you can snipe the person who inspects the package through his window. You may or may not also be able to snipe the person you meet when you drop off the package (Mohammad Bin Faisal Al-Khalifa according to Hitman wiki!), I always fiber wired him. I think you had to save the sniping for last, or it would screw up the trade.

You can also kill the shiek by going into the guy who inspects the package's room and calling the shiek on the phone. He'll appear down below you having had to sneak off the casino floor to take the call. From there it's an easy shot with the rifle.

I've been having a ton of fun playing this game and trying to vary how I kill people without the "OPPORTUNITIES" thing holding my hand, sadly the servers are down so I can't access the challenges. How does a server for this kind of game go down anyway?

Haha, I'm sorry but I actually got the two projector assassinations mixed up. I mean the one that asks you to "set up" the KGB guy. How do you do that one? Sorry for my confusion.

Just turn it off while they're reviewing the slides and walk away. A comical mistake will soon follow.

Vic will even call Dahlia if he meets Valerie.

Even if she's dead.

The 'events trigger on proximity' thing is a little wonky still. I swear to god Dahlia had her meeting with Helmut but moments afterwards I triggered the end of the show and he was somehow waiting at the end of the catwalk to go on. Still, I'm not entirely certain it was Helmut in the room with Dahlia, so idunno.

Probably was. He's the only one that looks like him. Probably goes back to modeling after the meeting.

Who's Valerie again?

what really sucks is the departure from the gun fetishising from the old hitman games that eventually lead to customisation in blood money, now its assets from deus ex

Poorly done assets. The iron sights on agent 47s weapons are backwards, with the front post mounted where the peep should be and vice versa.

That said, I really enjoyed figuring out how to get SA suit only with a minimum of sneaking. I pulled the fire alarm near the public bathrooms, then ran to the stairs under the grand staircase and hid in the basement tunnel. Beaned novikovs guard with a thrown pipe, then gave his principal three .45s to the back. Hid them in a crate in that tunnel, then made my way up to the auction to meet miss margolis as "mr. Reaper". Then I walked past the usher into the attic to make my way to the upstairs bathroom where dalia makes her call to a friend about Reaper, and strangled her. Then it was all over past putter her in a cupboard and making my way back downstairs. A lot easier than the previous ways I was trying to do it, getting Novikov alone by poisoning him took a ton of sneaking.

I've seen Kruger around at certain points during the show, but its never been in a place where I could isolate him. I haven't tried following him around yet though.

You can find him early on on the grounds by the helicopter being photographed. He then wanders off to a semi-private spot to call Dalia.

Okay, yet another question - how do you get your targets to go to their saferoom? I've tried killing sprees, setting off the fire alarm, dropping the lights...but they stay apart.

You have to check the evacuation document in the basement ops room, then disable Novikov's bodyguard. He will drop a phone you can use to call in the saferoom order. I suggest using rat poison on the center food in the prep room behind the bar, the bodyguard is partial to them.

Huh. I've taken him out before, and I've read that document before, but I guess I never did the latter before the former, so I never saw the phone.

Was actually thinking he had to stay alive in order to call it in. I guess nothing really qualifies as a true emergency to that guy.

Sometimes you can get him and dalia's bodyguard to move their employers, but it's to the downstairs ops room or dalia's office. Pulling a fire alarm always does it, or less predictably, staging a massacre.

I woulda sworn up and down there was nothing there, but I'll check again next time I play. Thanks.

Sometimes I've found that the Intel section is very sparse, like just a one sentence description of what you read.

I've found that if Dalia is threatened the guards bring her to her office. If she is found by, say, a knife wielding vampire who is slaughtering guards by the truckloads, she will be brought to the attic room above the saferoom. Nothing you can really exploit as far as I can tell but it is interesting to see her guards have a backup plan. I think they were trying to find another safe spot as I approached but I cornered and massacred them.

Welp this game is dead LOL. Gaming community moves too fast to care about a little update each month.

This is a single player game, so duh. Once the new updates come out there will be renewed interest, then drop off again.

Also I swear people like you must bounce between threads for more niche games just to proclaim they're "dead". Yeah, it's not a huge blockbuster, we get it dude. Doesn't mean it's not fun.

You can also distract the two dudes by poisoning their mice and messing with their samples, then drop a remote charge in the bin next to the virus.

That would also work for killing the lady scientist if you were to destroy the virus without detonating the device.

Edit: anybody figure out how to kill both targets using one explosive canister? I've never found a way to make them meet up.
