This is fantastic - my only complaint is some events not happening until you're there to witness them. I'm having to play it on the lowest settings imaginable because my graphics card is terrible and I'm still having literally hours of fun with two tiny maps. I've been compiling videos of all the different ways I've completed the second mission, if anyone needs convincing of its non-linearity. Hopefully I'll have a proper graphics card by the time the first episode is out. :v:

But hopefully that all gets ironed out soon, they've been making progress as they go.
I'd put off playing Paris until this weekend because of the disconnect stuff and now the thing stopping me from buying the rest of the game is people seeing me through walls. It happens all the loving time and I have no idea what's causing it. :smith:

My suspicion is that this is caused by the game recognizing when you enter the NPC's line of sight, but not recognizing when you leave. As far as I can tell it only occurs with NPCs you have passed by at some point in the past, never people you've never encountered at all.
That's a distinct possibility, I'll keep an eye out the next time it happens.

I got screwed out of silent assassin on the elusive, it seems when you poison someone it counts as a noticed kill for a few seconds before "unnoticed kill" comes up in the corner. If you leave the map during those few seconds you don't get SA. :negative:

Yeah, it's apparently to stop you throwing the exploding duck at ETs, having them pick it up then walking to the exit, detonating and leaving before the bodies hit the floor to get SA. Not sure why it affects poisons too but there you go. Ironically, I exited super quickly because when he died it flashed "BODY FOUND" on the screen and I thought it had bugged and maybe I could exit before it registered. I got the points for no bodies found anyway, it was the kill being noticed that shafted me. C'est la vie, I'm sure there'll be another Paris ET before we're done.

Speaking of, the timed escalation on the first mission is irritating me in that regard. The usual method of luring Captain Doofy behind the fences chews up too much time (and it doesn't seem to be a given some guard or another won't go back and wake him up before I get back in time to stab him disguised as a sailor). If I leave him be, he seems to head onto the boat and out of my reach just as I make the loop all the way around from killing the cameras/knocking out a guard/going upstairs/knocking out the sailor/getting a knife/going downstairs/killing the target guard/switching disguises/back to the start and Captain Doofy.
I'm on my phone but this should hopefully be a video of me doing that level. https://youtu.be/5J4ntAd1T5k

You're on the right lines and there's plenty of time, just try not to get flustered. While we're on the subject, what makes that guy board the boat? I tried all sorts doing that escalation and couldn't make it happen reliably.

Old ETs don't count for the new unlocks they introduced last month, so I'm guessing you got one of those. All ETs you've completed should count for the old ET challenges (5, 10, and 13 ETs total).

They've added a new set of suit unlocks based on how well you do in Elusive Targets. You can unlock a level-specific suit for completing an ET in each of the six levels. Additionally, you can get additional suits for Silent Assassin ratings during ETs, starting from the previous ET (#14). One of the challenges is for doing one SA ET (which you just got), another is for five SA ETs. There will be a many elusive targets in the future for you to have plenty of opportunity to unlock the rest of the suits, so no worries.
Yeah, I guess they only just added the challenges for them? I know they said all the new stuff was in since the celebrity chef and I killed him and Mrs Brady, Old Lady but this was the first time I actually got any challenges at the end. I was just worried it wasn't counting retroactively but the second challenge is to complete 10 elusive targets - I was getting it confused with the challenge to do 5 on silent assassin. :v:

If you're not concerned about getting silent assassin rating, they're usually pretty easy. If you are then they can be difficult, though mastery unlocks help.

Edit - gently caress, just got this challenge but then got spotted so there goes the Sniper Assassin and Suit Only challenges :(
If you're going to do sniper assassin and suit only together, you'd be best off clearing a space in the penthouse to shoot Cross through the Take My Breath Away window and then shimmying down the drainpipe to 47's suite before you shoot Morgan. If you shoot them the other way around you're putting yourself on the clock because everyone knows where the bullet that killed Morgan came from. Without suit only, just hide the rifle in the penthouse and escort Morgan up to inspect it.
