Yeah, the being arrested thing could be OP as gently caress. It's basically an exit the mission free card if you already got the target and the body wasn't found yet. Hopefully you can only get arrested once or at a minimum it locks you out of Silent Assassin.

I paid $5 and put 30 hrs in to it. At $15 I still would have been happy. The Hitman pricing doesn't concern me. I plan on buying the full version.

My impression of the Hitman player base is its relatively small for a AAA game but also pretty dedicated. This is a game with lots of replay value built in, trying to do every mission in every available way. Add in the contracts mode and special targets, I am not too worried about staying power.

That's exactly what it's like in the beta. Saving your game is even a step in the guided tutorial mission, as if they wanted to draw attention to the fact that they got rid of the other studio's pants-on-head stupid "feature".

You only get a limited number of saves too.

What I've heard of episodic pricing is $15 for the initial intro pack and then $10 for each addition. I think there are supposed to be 5 additional maps. So if you buy episodically the total would be $65. Not a huge loss to buy per episode if you end up liking it. With 25% off the intro it would only end up costing you $2 more.

I liked the first Japan mission, where you kill the dude in his house, preferably with poison sushi. The two missions with ninjas were just god awful though.

The problem with the Japan missions, one in particular, was that the ninjas would see through your full body, face covering disguise that looked liked all the other costumes, but for some reason wasn't the "right" one for that particular area. I didn't mind the vision cones nearly as much as that bullshit.

Also, this is the first time I've pre-ordered a Steam game, is it normal for it to not show up as in your library? I bought the full game on sale from green man gaming, and obviously I have downloaded the beta, but in Steam the full game is not listed as in my library and when I look at the store page for the game it doesn't say it's already in my library.

That's normal, but it probably shows up if you check your library in the steam client. It won't show up on the website version of your library.
