A lot of them are clones of arcade games or Sokoban but it's a cool look back

I started up Merlin and it played a PC speaker version of the Godfather theme

Unfortunately does not have either Darkseed 2 or No. 11 Downing Street: The Adventures of Ninja Nanny and Sherrloch Sheltie, but nothing's perfect.

Besides, it does have the Windows 3.1 version of The Even More Incredible Machine, which I remember fondly - in spite of us losing the manual for it and thus never getting past the copy protection for most of my life. It also doesn't run at a thousand frames per second, like the CD-ROM copy of the game I found at Goodwill does on my retro Windows 98 rig, so that's appreciated.

Bolded are in the separate MS-DOS section.

They don't have Epic Pinball, but they have its predecessor Silverball, at least?

I took the octopath less travelered,

And it made one-eighth the difference.
Is it bad that of all the games available, this is what grabs my interest?

Though Castle of the Winds is pretty sweet too, as is playing a ton of poo poo that came with my first computer like SkiFree, PipeDream, and Jezzball.

I miss all these bizarre experimental simple PC games. I think the dated 3.1 aesthetic helps a lot of these games stand out. An indie potato disease game today would be more elaborate to try to cater to the hardcore potato disease fans, but this was clearly a person or team who wanted to get as many people as possible into the potato disease genre.
