Back in what I wish was too recent to be called "The Day", when you could pile on to a TF2 server and just kinda hang out dicking around, there was the Party Van. I'm sure it's still around, pumping out some horribly boring Mann vs. Machine bullshit because nobody wants to play real TF2 anymore, but the most fun would come when random pubbies would come on, demanding some sort of a "real" match while we where all loving around to see how tall we could stack everyone on some godawful Mario map made by some hyper-religious Sonic fan. What offended the pubbies the most, however, was "The Civilian". There was an old bug in TF2 that's since been fixed whereby if you changed loadouts, then taunted while touching the supply case, you'd get stuck in T-pose. Most were simply annoyed that something like 15 members of their 16 man team were T-posed scouts loving around the map, but one was truly offended. It turns out that he thought that we were breaking his computer by doing this, because we were "forcing him to view a bug". At this, it became a game to track him down in T-pose and see how loud we could get him to freak out on mic (which was usually reserved for the kind of weird micspam you'd expect from a server like this).

Oh hey, it's this thread. A few months ago I hooked up my steam controller and hopped on some TF2 servers as "The Slow Scout". Because no one in their right mind plays TF2 with a controller, the concept of "not going as fast as possible" was very confusing to some people. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWeNLQHe8pM Near the end of my time, some people banded together for the sole purpose of getting me to the objective, and helping the Slow Scout win.
