I'd been happy, and I was happy still. For all to be accomplished,
for me to feel less lonely,
all that remained to hope
was that on the day of my execution
there should be a huge crowd of spectators and that they should
greet me with howls of execration.

History will demonstrate that the stupidest thing I posted all game was claiming backup,
What will history consider the most clever thing about your play this game?
The way I see it, no matter what you flip you have been a disaster.

How do the scum roles work? Does only one of them act? Or do they all get to take their actions every night?
The Scum get a single kill per night.
With a full complement of Scum that kill woikd usually be done by the Ninja or the Poisoner. The Roleblocker can only Roleblock if not killing, and the BP Godfather will usually do the kill only as a last resort, because for any night that he performs the kill he is vulnerable to the SK and the Cop.

This dudes def scum. This post includes a lot of words, but most of the things he says aren't cohesive and the posts he uses to support the ideas aren't related. Its like he posted a wall of text hoping people would say TLDR and just skim it
Nah, it was a good effortpost and seemed pretty sincere to me.

There was a lot of SOTG there without much of a read. He seemed to toss his vote on aafter literally as an afterthought. Basically he is trying to dissect maybe 1 post out of each of the main people posting and calling it into question. That reads as insincere actually.
Okay kordansk, show us how it's done and post a superior analysis. With specific stances about multiple players.

Birdstrike and Aafter, would you both please go on record ranking the following players from "Most Likely to be Scum" to "Least Likely to be Scum", from your current perspective?

I mean I've put tons of logic forth on why bird strike is the scum
I'm voting Birdstrike with you. So instead of continuing to waste breath throwing shade at a confirmed Town Power Role, how about you make some stances on non-Miller Scum candidates? Obviously we are resolving the Miller situation today, but that doesn't rule out contributing further analysis. You are on top on the future chopping block, after all, and if you're Town you're going to have your work cut out to dig your way out. The likely scenario of Birdstrike flipping Scum won't get you any cred at all, by the way.

Right now anyone who has popped into the thread who hasn't expressed an opinion on BS vs aafter is at the top of my list and will be getting a reread. Black looks very bad to me right now, as he put a great effort post into it but then his vote lazily lands on aafter with no real analysis of the situation at hand.
Sounds productive. I am looking forward to your analysis.

Good game!
Another Nailbiter down near the wire.
I'd say that even with the mass softclaims D1, the Scum were not greatly disadvantaged, but I'm eager to read the Scumdoc for more perspective. Scum were much more seriously hindered by the suicidal trade of Aafter the Ninja for the BP Miller (about the least useful trade possible, because the BP Miller being alive casts doubt on both Cop hits and SK kill fails.)
I'm eager to read the mod doc to see just what happened, and the Scumdoc to see how they felt about it.
It seemed like a lot of nails were bitten and it was a fun read, hope everyone had fun playing too! Thanks Friction, very well modded! Only flaw was taking a replacement, which ended up deciding the game, in a way.
Second game in a row where the SK threw away the chance to win and handed victory to Town. That's befuddling.

I think this still didn't give us the full picture of how a mass claim affects things, but I'm coming out of it leaning towards favoring it if I play this setup in the future.
I doubt that in future games you would have any luck getting a massclaimbto happen D1 again. In fact, you may get lynched for advocating it. I still feel it is not especially beneficial for any side, but does detract from the fun.
Any game is ruined by abandoners, replacements, modkills. Tommunist signed up for a new game right after being gifted a replacement in this one. This setup would run amazingly with a full roster of engaged players.

Lumpen this setup is garbage for scum/SK mainly because you give them no places to actually hide when you have people becoming confirmed town. Not only that, forcing a SK win off of a lynch of the BP Miller and Godfather is ridiculous. You want people to enjoy your setups, you have to at least make the win for that player/group obtainable. I didn't throw it away, there was just no way I was going to fulfill my wincon, and decided to play kingmaker for town.
You absolutely threw your chance away. KB tried to explain it to you. You just had to actually try, and targeting your kills better would have also helped you. Why were you killing off Backups at night, anyway? That's just tightening the noose on your own neck.
JakeP very nearly won the last Nailbiter as SK, and you should check it out.
Jake, did you feel like you had a raw deal as SK in this setup?
