I’m just gonna say he is wrong about a couple things, like it is not okay for grown men to rape teenaged girls, and also not okay to chew on your own feet in public. The rest, the software poo poo, probably.

Yeah, unless it relates directly to computer software, or maybe parrots, you should probably just ignore everything else Stallman has to say.

Quora has the same problem as most social media platforms, it’s OK to be a nazi but it’s not OK to call someone a loving nazi.

I get maybe 1-2 scam texts a year on my android phone, and it's been about that pace for years. A month or so back I had a company iphone thrust on me, and holy poo poo I get like 1-2 scam texts a day on the thing. Constant phishing, group chats with a million randos trying to get me to click links, the works. I had to completely turn off the iMessage feature on the phone and just tell people at work to call, not text if they need something.

Did I just get a dodgy number or is this actually what iphone users put up with on the regular?

Definitely a dodgy number. I've been using an iphone since forever and I've never had that problem. I get scam texts maybe once a year. I do get a few scam calls around tax time, though.

I thought YouTube Kids was curated by hand to prevent that kind of fuckery.

Absolutely not. Kris Straub did some horror stuff that had the word "kids" in the title so Youtube decided it belongs in Youtube Kids. EDIT: And he cant' tell them "no this isn't for kids", either, the system is not set up to handle the idea of false positives here.

poo poo, I very much stand corrected.
