It's always kinda iffy when websites pull that stuff, especially hotel booking sites trying to add some sense of urgency by going all "There are only five more rooms left in this hotel! (with nine rooms overall) Book quickly!".

My favorite was booking a place for a big meetup shortly* before covid with said friends. One found a place, linked it to me and upon loading the site it said in bright red letters "One other person has looked at this recently!" and it's like, well no poo poo :v:

*: shortly as in, we had to cancel it because it was planned for february when the initial lockdowns began
