Either a scammer gave some woman my email to get her off his back or she made a mistake but I have been getting emails from a lady who got scammed out of like $75k for the past four months and it's kind of interesting. I never respond but she just keeps trying. My first name is Thomas, but i'm editing out her email addy and also the "to" field cause my email addy is my real full name. This is all of them in order. Theoretically I could internet stalk her and find her family and be all "Hey your mom/sister/whatever is getting scammed, here's the proof, you deal with it." but she's been scammed all the way, it's too late to do anything. I have to assume that there are some people around her who have pointed it out already though. Best I can do is post it here so Goons get to see what it looks like when someone falls for this scam and hope none of you Google her up. Edit: poo poo, i'm removing her last name too.

If you try to Google me using my full name at best you'll think i'm a poet who lives in a different country than I actually do or possibly a dead Catholic priest. She's already been scammed of everything, warning her now is pretty useless and just gets me involved in a lot of drama I don't want.

I'm not sure how many of you remember my copy/pasted emails from "Patsy." I did not listen to any of you and block her, like I should have. Now she thinks thinks I am in jail thanks to the FBI but has also called around and found out that guy/I am not in any prison/jail. She's sooooo close to getting that she got scammed. Multiple people have told her she got scammed but she's still trying to claw back the money.  Literal years of me not responding and she still thinks all this is on the up and up and if she just waits long enough she will get repaid. If I respond it will just give her hope.

I literally sat back and watched a nice old lady die from a scammer's actions. I take this poo poo, personally, extremely seriously. I dunno wtf my estranged father is up to, financially, but I know my mom is safe.

It sucks to watch someone getting scammed with the knowledge than anything you do will just make it worse. Even my lack of action/involvement probably made it worse?

I got a message from ??? asking if I was still up for hiking on Saturday. I figured "Eh it's only a bit of effort" and sent a "sorry wrong person!" text back just in case. If not real i'm wasting a scammers time. win win They messaged back and it was clear it was chatGTP or something so I started talking about snails and pockets on women's clothes and I think I broke the bot to the point where it just wasn't telling me where to send it money? Or giving me any suspicious links to click? It's an independent business woman who loves god and I've had more productive convo's with 3 year old children.
