So all the autos have that whole variable gravity focus thing going on eh? What would happen to all the meaty bits inside if that was switched off without warning mid fight? And even prepared crews would have to suffer some severe combat efficiency loss. Surely it's easier to temporarily disrupt the gravity magic than to produce a strong effect of our own. Make some "I've fallen and I can't get up" ammo.

I think this is a good idea for a shell.

Get one or more of the mages to whip up a camera, maybe a optic fibre cable to play periscope with. even its not long ranged enough for it to be launched with the winch it would be a very useful splunking tool

I now feel shooting all our cannons into the pit of doom was exactly the right decision, to get a parting shot at the hellwurm that did this before it went too deep into the earth to follow, heat and pressure reforming the tunnel long before we get there.

I can only assume we are doomed because we voted to explore a mysterious sinkhole and it's going to collapse further and LVED is depressed by the prospect of posting about it. I'm staying subscribed to this regardless.
