For build suggestions, wear nothing except the biggest weapon you can find and a skirt. And yeah, game volume is kind of drowning you out a bit.

The base game hasn't changed with DLC additions, except a few extra conversations. Any nasty additional dragons are changes in Scholar of the First Sin.

Death switching is cool. I feel like the resting rule should be just reaching when it's a new bonfire. Switch if you've got to rest at one you've already got, switch anyway when you find one, to stop resting at new ones being a penalty.
