Hush you, this is the only game I'm going to all season with my dad and they're gonna win. They can drop another embarrassing loss to Michigan this weekend.

If Iowa wins tonight, I think they will end up with a share of the Big Ten title, but I don't think they're going to win, so...

Spend the money to be a good program or be a bad program. It's pretty simple. Making your team spend all day in the airport to save a few bucks on airfare is bush league.

On the one hand smaller conference tournaments own, on the other hand that was a cool Ivy League tradition and they're the last ones left, so I kind of want to be a cranky old man about this change.

Nolan Arenado

I think it was just to keep things pure and ensure that the best team represented the league. I believe the Big Ten and the Pac 10 were the last holdouts before them and the Ivy League just never gave in... until now.

Denver fired their head coach Joe Scott. He seemed like a good guy, but he hadn't made the NCAA tournament in any of his 9 years there and his teams play slow as poo poo, so I'm not too torn up.

Old Dominion is going to play in the Conference USA championship, which is cool for them, but I can't help but be amused that they moved to Conference USA from the CAA and now the CAA is rated as the clearly superior conference.

(I assume they moved for football, not sure why they would want to be FBS anyway, they are probably losing money doing that, so this is possibly doubly funny?)

So what does this do to South Carolina? They've lost three of their last four and somehow lost to Georgia three times this year.

I would think they will still make it, although they may be punished with a first four game now.

I wonder if Oregon could sneak in if they win the Pac-12 tournament? The RPI loves the Pac-12 and the Ducks.

Iowa got as friendly a 7 seed draw as you could possibly get and it will not matter in the slightest.

Hmm, K-State didn't make the NIT. Granted, that was my preseason prediction, but I don't really get why they didn't make it.

I haven't looked at the bracket, but a shitload of 1 seeds lost their conference tournaments, and they get auto-bids to the NIT, so perhaps that had something to do with it?

This is a goldmine. I think Bill Carmody - Bach is my favorite. I like that Ben Jacobson chose some no name band from his home state.

5 years with Georgia Tech's current coach and we haven't made the tournament even once.

Turns out a big part of the reason he hasn't been fired is because we're STILL on the hook for $900k/year to Paul Hewitt thru 2019, a full 8 years after he was fired.

The former AD should be stripped of any connections to GT.

Remember that time Paul Hewitt went to the national championship game? That sure was a thing...

Seemed like Hoiberg's style was working out fine too though? I don't get that complaint. And going "yeah the team is fixed and he's just as good as Hoiberg"' because they made a sweet 16 seems like a pretty big overreaction to two games against pretty crappy opponents

The second part of what you said doesn't seem to be referring to anything I said, but on the first part, considering that their season last year ended in the first round with a future NBA player not even playing in the second half because that relationship had gotten so toxic, it seemed like cracks were starting to show with Hoiberg and his style. I don't remember the whole timeline with BDJ, but there had to be a better way to handle it that wouldn't have resulted in that shitshow in the most important game of the season.

I mean if we're judging a guy off one bad tournament game then I guess he cracks are starting to show for Izzo too?

What starter did Izzo sit (or the player refused to play) for the second half of their tournament game because Izzo didn't properly address issues with that player and let it come to a head during the NCAA tournament??

I don't think Prohm is a better coach than Hoiberg, at all, I'm just giving him credit for how he handled McKay compared to how Hoiberg handled BDJ.
