Probably more often than you think. I run a site with around 800-1k users daily where most spend multiple hours on it per session and I get ddosd multiple times per week. It's for a dead video game that not even I have played since 2009 or so and I play lots of games no one plays anymore. It performs a vital function that the people running the game never added.

SA has more "enemies" than my site by far. There is zero user interaction on my site too. It literally just provides that service.

In case the site ever goes rogue the backup plan has always been to keep it above ground level, getting knocked down the stairwell is good for more than just killing fetuses.

Well, this thread has been a somewhat interesting history lesson.

As someone who has gone into business with friends before, I can sympathize with Lowtax's situation. At least radium got booted eventually, even if it was after years of wasted money.
