Pic on the left is now my favorite because they decorated the banana with the thingy usually seen decorating chicken/turkey legs. I love it.

I was one of the obnoxious carbonara purists, but I was hungry, had leftover pastor meat and zero will to go outside, and I ended up making a carbonara al pastor. It was good.

Oh hey vegan facebook recipe for banana peel ribs

Marinade* for 20 banana peels

1 1/2c veggie broth

1 1/2c barbecue sauce

1/4c maple syrup or honey

1/4c soy sauce

2T apple cider vinegar

2T minced garlic

2 cubes no beef bouillon

1T liquid smoke

Marinate peels overnight if you have time, but a minimum of 30 minutes, remove peels

Bring marinade to a boil

Simmer peels for 7 minutes, remove

Shred peels with a fork, cut the shreds into 1/2-1” pieces

Saute

banana peels

1 onion chopped

1 zucchini shredded

no oil add a bit of marinade as needed to keep the pan from getting too dry, 1T at a time

Mix dry

3c VWG

1/2c nutritional yeast

2T paprika

2T onion powder

Mix wet

2c banana peel marinade

1/2c applesauce

Add wet to dry

Mix with your hands like meatloaf THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP!

Add veggie mix

Use 9x13 pan**, line with parchment paper

Smooth rib mix in the bottom of the pan, top with just a little BBQ sauce

Bake at 350 for an hour

Loosen the edges and flip it out onto a cutting board or cookie sheet

Line the bottom of the pan with fresh parchment paper

Put the ribs back in the pan upside down

Top with just a little BBQ sauce

Bake for an hour

Rest in the fridge overnight, easiest to cut when the come out of the fridge cold.

Divide the length of the pan in half
