Why not both? An alarming number of people have no idea how to cook a goddamn thing. Basically just turn the heat up to maximum and hope for the best. I used to have a housemate who'd cook like that. Watching her try to cook a steak was an exercise in frustration. She'd at least cook it it rare, but the outside would just be burned and gross, with no delicious caramelization. I outright banned her from using my cast iron after watching her cook.

Might? Peanut butter and pickle sandwiches are pretty good. I'm sure the texture is weird as gently caress. I'd at least eat a bite of it. I actually do like jello though. Now I'm getting all nostalgic for the giant pan of jello squares from my school cafeteria. I have a couple boxes of jello and a can of crushed pineapple. Might have to make a layered jello soon.
