Has cash crab eaten one of these yet? I did it for y'all.
The soggy cheetos were like eating a crunchwrap interspersed with packing peanuts.

Haha, my husband and I split a combo (beef and cheddar for me, supreme for him) so he could satisfy his curiosity too but wouldn't let me take pictures of his, the spoilsport. He ate the fries, I ate the donut masquerading as a churro.

e: I ate that atrocity in a dank basement foodcourt, as it was meant to be consumed

We stopped that, but I think we still have poutine.

Also, I am really surprised you guys don't have the fries. You do mean the Supreme Fries, right?

I am amazed to find out this isn't an American invention.

I'm more sorry for Canadians (and by extension me, living here). No Baja Blast, which is the only Mountain Dew flavour I can drink (at least in small amounts).
Pictured: small amount.

breaded chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy thickened with flour, corn, macaroni, and I don't know what the little things are. The amount of carbs and lack of anything but carbs is disgusting. Still would eat this, though.

Gravy thickened with flour is regular gravy. A roux (the base for gravy) is just cooked fat + flour.

I feel like an icebox cake with cookies and what seems to be a more ganache-like chocolate mixture (or possibly even custard like, with the egg?) is just a bit different than eating a straight block of coconut oil + cocoa powder + sweetener from the freezer. And I love coconut oil.

I know spaghetti napolitan (the japanese kind, not actual neapolitan) uses ketchup but I don't think they add even more sugar.

e for poutine rules: I would consider it poutine still as long as it used cheese curds. Once you swap for shredded or fake cheese sauce it's just loaded/disco fries/whatever.

Roman food also made heavy use of fish sauce. HEAVY. Watch the Supersizers Ancient Rome episode, it's revolting!

As an archaeologist, though, all that fish sauce left traces of various elements in the jars and that's proven to be useful in a number of ways

Is there somewhere online to watch this series? It sounds really interesting.

I'm going to eat a rainbow grilled cheese tomorrow at the fair. I'm telling y'all this now because after I consume it I may be dead. This one, instead of just dyed or vegetable flavoured cheese, is fruit-infused string cheese, so, uh. We'll see how it goes, and whether I look like this guy after I eat one (first thing in the video).

I did it and I went out in the pouring rain to do it. I don't even regret it.

Less anti-food porn bonus, they gave me a poutine since I missed out the other day. Also probably because I looked like a drowned rat waiting for my grilled cheese.

Dienes posted:

Was the cheese really fruit flavored? We need more of a trip report than that.

The inside to my relief was very mildly fruit flavoured white cheese of a string-cheese like variety (each colour was supposedly a different flavour but it seemed like strawberry was the most pervasive) and after they get slapped down on the grill they get surrounded by a mix of shredded white and orange cheddar, which turned into a crispy cracker-like ring of deliciousness surrounding the sandwich. The faint sweetness of the inner cheese and the saltiness of the grilled cheese were pretty complementary. The half I ate in the pouring rain and on the light rail (I was hugely hungry and soaked to the bone by the time I got my sandwich) was just a solid if luridly coloured grilled cheese that reminded me of one of my favourites, brie and raspberry jam on sourdough. The half I ate cold later once I managed to make it home and dry off was not nearly so appealing, especially as I'd been attempting it to protect it from the deluge between two paper plates.
