Trump will end up caving to the Republican establishment, because he's incapable of replacing them. The US turns into exactly what you'd expect if the Republican Party owned all 3 branches of government wholesale - less labor rights, no abortions, more drug war stuff, lower wages, maybe a few more crises of accountability ala Flint as any troubled/fine-but-majority-liberal-or-minority areas are run by Emergency Managers. A token wall will be constructed, but the more substantial impact against immigration won't come from that vanity project, but from actions against Sanctuary Cities. The national debt will increase from the drop in taxation on the rich, even as government services keep getting cut in the name of austerity. But debt is only a problem when liberals are in government, for some reason, so nobody will notice. The only wildcard is foreign policy, Trump has made overtures to Putin, but Eastern Europe has been a great ally to the US and it's bad form to betray that trust. The middle east will probably get ignored, the pivot to Asia will probably be more aggressively anti-China, but that may not be a bad thing. Then everyone realizes it's not in the president's power to do most of what is being talked about this election. Everyone starts bitching about how bad the president is.. Random bills get signed off or vetoed, both democrat and GOP sponsored. He's a wildcard. Gaffes continue to get made, the president is a great source of entertainment, the rest of the world looks on and shakes their head. Maybe some sort of trade bill happens.

Actually, the opposite - class consciousness is stifled as racial tensions get amped up. The poor whites who voted for Trump will still be poor, still living in shitboxes, and still killing themselves with drugs, but they may notice, since at least they'll have someone else to hate - and hey, they did stick to those liberals. The more interesting question is what happens to the Democrats. We're literally one election result from the Democratic party losing everything, getting totally shut out of both legislatures, the supreme court and the executive, and massively behind on the state level thanks to gerrymandering. That's not going to happen quietly. Kind of ironic since we had a thread not so long ago about how it was the GOP that was dead.
