Rewatching this presently, and in a series with excellent use of period music, Twilight Zone in the opening of the S2 finale is a standout.

I think I've said it elsewhere, but that cold open is the scene I've used to sell more than a few people on the show. Gets across the tone, the period, and the stakes pretty quick without really spoiling any major plotlines.

See, I named the thread this expecting more of a thing about the Evil Empire speech from Reagan, it was touched on sure, but not as much as I expected it to be. So there goes my joke link in the Season 1 Star Wars Program subplot with this season.

I'm kind of glad that the show generally veers away from concerning it too much with public figures of the period - that said, the early episode during the Reagan assassination attempt was very good
