Then I fold the top of it over her and she purrs like crazy for like, ten minutes. I don't understand it at all. I had to move my cat's cat tree to the other end of the house a few months back, so I waited until she was off it because I didn't think she'd appreciate it suddenly starting to move with her on it. She heard the sound of me dragging it, came running, leapt onto it, climbed all the way to the top and hung on to enjoy the ride the rest of the way there.

I got a new cat a few months ago and she and my established cat have finally been making friends. All friendly, high-pitched chirps and meeps courtesy of Peridot (torbie), lower meows courtesy of Pepper (black). I have had Peridot for almost exactly six months now. She spent the first week in my bathroom hissing at anyone who came near her (hence the name) and then the first month and a half or so hiding in the dining room with only brief dashes to use the litterbox and eat. She's been gaining confidence slowly since then and last night after six months I finally got to pet her. In fact she demanded I pet her for over half an hour. Making up for lost time!

Mine has a larger hole at the top so I had to cover it with foil to stop the cat from just standing up and eating from the top, it's good to see they fixed that problem. Of course, one of my cats was too dumb to work out putting her paw in even after watching the other one get food out like a champion and would instead sit and bite the plastic in the hopes of getting through to the food inside. I had to get my cat shaved cause she had mats in her fur that she wouldn't let me brush. I was worried that I'd ruined her trust in me because she's a super anxious animal and getting her to the vet was a huge drama. She just crawled onto my lap and curled up and went right to sleep, a thing she has not done before ever in the five years I've had her before.
