Not a huge dog fan but first they had some natural selection to move their eyebrows.

Now this.

Also hoping I get dogpiled for saying 'not a fan'.

There is this one dog I know and she is like just wandering in and rolling around every carpeted area and being all, ooh look at me I love being a dog.

Comes around from the yard and licks my gd face. Stupid mutt.

Gonna repost this because music tames the savage beast. Apologies to the poster ITT who introduced the concept.

Moths serve a viral part of the ecosystem as food for birds. You wouldn't want birds to starve would you?

Also some are pollinators

They are the butterfly of the night and some of them are too cute. Others destroy trees and are the locusts of the morning.

In conclusion they are an insect of contrast.

I was about to say something about how it reminded me of Bagheera, but I figure they probably referenced actual panthers for the animation and Bagheera is kind of a sarcastic character, so it kind of went without saying.

Btw

Wait, was that the most recent live action version Bagheera in your post?

It was. And I've seen the live action Lion King and Beauty and the Beast but not Jungle Book.

More fun facts: they will alight on you if you stand still near their feeders.

My guess is they are so fast they just don't care. They are more afraid of wasps than they are of large mammals.

Also, shark brain-to-body ratio is generally pretty comparable to mammals. They're mostly solitary but satellite tracking has shown that they have friends, in that they seek out particular other sharks in the neighbourhood to hunt with for short periods of time, but will ignore other sharks and even avoid them. They are definitely capable of "I like my friend Bob but i hate Karen and will swim over here if she's around."

They're not brainless killing machines, no more than wolves or tigers.

They also like rough sex so you know something's similar.

One of my cats has a bit of a grooming fixation. He will groom his brother until the other cat gets annoyed and slaps him. I have a blanket that he will lick when I'm using it (it's very soft and I think he thinks it's my fur). And on some mornings he will groom my face/head which while a sweet gesture is a very unpleasant way to wake up.

I had two cats, one of which wasn't properly weaned I guess. The smaller one, Frank would always be on the stairs "grooming" Shadow's male nipples until they were raw. Shadow would just look up at me when I passed them on the way up, all glassy-eyed with his bare pink skin showing through his black coat where Frank was answering DeNiro's question from Meet the Parents.

It looked really gross but they were happy to do it and to be a constant tripping hazard.

Foxes aren't considered domesticated (because they're not) so you mostly have to make due replicating their natural diet. I don't see why they can't have dog peanut butter though, as a treat.

Russians domesticated the fox. Kind of.

Keeping a wild creature that can still hack it out doors is kind of cruel ofc.

Apparently they used to have them in the UK until the 80s, while I know they're invasive that's almost a shame honestly. Would have liked to see a bigge ratte.

They are putting beavers back though so that's good at least. Also I still think "what if a wolf eats the queen" is the best argument for reintroducing wolves I've ever heard.

Fun Canadian beaver fact: Beavers hate the sound of flowing water. They have an innate sense that the world is somehow wrong if they detect this sound and use massive amounts of energy to prevent it. This fuels the ecosystem in ways that beavers do not give a gently caress about.
