Took a minute to find the allergic person.

I read somewhere that this happens because eye contact with a cat seems aggressive to them. So when an allergic person tries to ignore a cat it makes that person look like the friendliest person in the room.

Problem with possums as pets is that they don't live very long, in captivity they only live something like 4-5 years.

We'd make those four years absolutely magical though...

I wouldn't be surprised if cockatiels are smart enough to figure out stuff coming out of the TV isn't real. Or at least that it doesn't really matter.

I can distinctly remember one Sunday morning where I got jolted out of bed by what sounded like someone trying to break into my house with a jackhammer. Ran onto the back deck in my PJs and there was a woodpecker trying to bust through the vinyl siding on my house. That poo poo was LOUD!

My algebra teacher back in high school was a former railroad engineer, and he did a train safety day for all of his classes every year. One thing he drilled into our heads: a moving train cannot "just stop".

I would get that if it was up to speed. But it had already slowed down to "a" mile an hour for the dog. Might as well just stop and run it off. But if even then it's not that simple then just hop off while it's running, walk briskly forward, and run the dog off.

Every single bird guide I've seen with an entry for this bird has included the statement "A bird this small has no business being this loud."

Oh yeah, I've lived in the south my whole life and when I think "bird sounds" those are what I hear.
