Read Irredeemable by Mark Waid. It's basically Superman throwing a bitch tantrum and killing everyone.

Or Alan Moore's Miracleman (although the title has reverted back to Marvelman, since Marvel got the rights from MacFarlane a few years back), with both Miracleman and Kid Miracleman being two extreme sides of the same Superman coin. I wouldn't go into Kid Miracleman essentially being Superman's id run amok, but I will leave this great bit about Miracleman's relation to human governments, when he discusses world socialism with Margret Thatcher...

Affleck Batman is more compelling than Bale Batman.

In my opinion, BvS is not a very good movie. Badly edited, Superman almost superfluous, lazy when it comes to introducing Justice League members, dramatic scenes almost comical, general lack of "flow" causes confusion and badly explained character motivations.

An important part of being a nerd icon is that you have to go on speaking tours (or now post dozens of youtube videos) to explain what your failed piece of media was meant to convey. It shows how deeply you thought about it.

As we have learned from years of comic movies, you are not allowed to simply kill the hero. You are obligated to break them spiritually and mentally before breaking them physically.

I read this morning that they've greenlit Affleck to direct a solo Batman movie. Maybe this means we will finally have a good Batman movie since the Burton original.

lol, pretty much no one involved in the production of these movies read the comics. Zach Snyder is a rare exception. Most productions just have some consultats there to make sure things are kind of like the comics

Dr strange is one of my fav obscure characters thanks to my dad taking me to comic stores a lot as a kid so that he got at least a couple minutes a week of fun since he didn't get to spend his 20's as a hipster like I suspect he wanted since he had kids so I would read the comics too since I wanted dad to like me and now he's dead, wait what were, we talking about,

Its pretty weird how much more interesting the trailer for a D-tier comic character no one knows about is than the one for a fight between the two biggest comic stars ever

I mean, it rips off Incepetion a ton but gently caress it, if you are gonna steal, steal from the best.

That Miracleman #14 though.

I think that's the best 'holy poo poo' issue in all of comics, especially that one double-page layout (you know the one). Even more than 'I did it 30 minutes ago'.

When people say Wonder Woman has to be dark and grim because of ww1 do they forget the first captain America? Or was ww2 all fun and rainbows in their mind?

Seems they are just using it as an excuse for more of the same from DC.
