It felt like they make up plotlines as they go along, which is fine when the show is this good, but it also means the overall arcs of characters (or even existences of characters in the aforementioned son case) gets wobbly. Proctor being taken down was slowly being built up over the course of one arc, which has now been seemingly completely dropped. the show is going to end with proctor winning

it was a bit of a let down after seeing him genuinely do anything to win a fight against the albino but i guess gouging someones eyes out doesn't go down too well
