Wouldn't it be the easiest to compare it to Justified? That started off very formulaic and generic, and by S2 it starts to become what everyone recognized it for.

In season 4 theres a scene where Lucas drives his charger to what I remember was Carries house in the woods. The car parked, and the camera was zoomed in real close on the front of the car and you could see police lights being reflected on it. Anyone remember what episode that was from?   The nice looking one mutes the reds for some reason. Either way Im lazy enough to probably leave it at that.
