Random fact: If anyone's curious why Air Combat 22 is "22" instead of some other arbitrary number, it's because it was developed for Namco's System 22 arcade hardware (as opposed to the original Air Combat, which was on System 21.) Apparently they thought that was super important.

I know pointing out stupid and absurd operational blunders in an Ace Combat game is basically like pointing out pebbles at the beach, but why in god's name were they doing training missions inside the enemy's radius of action in the middle of a war?
