Guess who made waffles...

The LP ended just in time, there's a Rockstar Games Weekend Sale on steam right now. LA Noise is 65% off, 70% for the Complete Edition with the DLC bundle, still puts both of them under 10 bucks.

I just hope the la le lu lay oo have no affect on you, else we might have issues.

You might want to check the clues that were dropped a little more closely.

Two videos I found interesting popped up in the related videos as I watched the last episode:

LA Noire Tech trailer: seeing the actors with their characters, it strikes me how much younger they look than their game counterparts. I wonder if that's due to the game's lighting system or a conscious effort. Elsa's actress is like super beautiful

Outtakes and bloopers from the recording sessions, inserted into the game engine.

Those bloopers are fantastic.

I dunno if it's just me, or the age of the tech like how CG ages poorly, but if I focus on the mouth of the actor it becomes extremely apparent to me that the facial animations are just plastered oddly onto the rest of the head model; they sort of seem to bounce and jitter very subtly. Like when you shake your head while looking at a digital display.

If I remember correctly, the animation is actually just shifting between new still frames instead of fluidly changing positions. This causes the slight blur effect as the mouth moves.

Before Bobbin starts the next game, should I be familiar with the previous one in the series/his LP of it?

There are a few references to characters/organisations from the original but you can pretty much jump in blind. I'd heartily recommend Bobbin's lp of the original though, it's really good.

I'd like to second that. I often listen to that LP in the background as I do other stuff and just listen to the lectures.

Same here; if anything I wish Bobbin made playlists of only his lectures :allears:

Bobbin your lectures are great. You, sir, are awesome.

One question, what would be the name if the flute heard in the war intermissions?

The Socialist Workers Party's newspaper proved to be a tough sell to downtown businessmen.
I think the flute is called shakuhachi.

Awesome LP, and enjoyed the film critiques too. I definitely agree with your assessment of LA Noire as 'a good effort' - it had a lot of neat concepts and technology, just with a lot of unfortunately slapdash execution.
