I have run out of Internet for the month. As a mobile, tech savvy adult my 5 GB mobile data plan has been sucked into a black hole of looping gifs, hd pics, and clickbait YouTube videos in less than 10 days and I am getting anxious of having to talk to people instead of loving off on my phone all day. i now have to think about and ration 500mb and I don't think I'll make it. How big is 1 post anyway? Btw sprint says the Internet is $14.99/GB

Yeah I fled verizon because they wanted five loving bucks a gig. Gtfo. It's 2016 bitch it's the future. Tmobile has a reasonably cheap unlimited plan. I doubt it's really unlimited but I pull 50 gigs with no issue. Just loving leave when a carrier tries to ream you like this.

its pretty weird that we cant legally do anything about something as simple as the internet becoming a thing you need permission to buy separately on your phone and computer only to then pay again in your privacy, personal information, shopping trends and with advertisements

with USA being all about capitalism it's pretty hosed that competition is so loving limited ISP districts, utility pole ownership and poo poo, google fiber has had so much poo poo thrown in their way while trying to expand here in europe i just plugged my computer into the ethernet port in my wall after moving in, and then a page listing all the ISP providers with prices, speeds, contract times, special deals etc. appeared. i picked a good one and a minute later i was jacked in for real get your loving poo poo together USA edit: poo poo

I'm grandfathered in a Tmobile unlimited 4g high speed data plan. $50 simple choice + $20 unlimited 4g high speed (5 gb hotspot). Usually I only use like 1 gb at most a month, but occasionally I'll test the waters with 200gb for a month to see if Tmobile still honors "unlimited". So far they have. The moment they don't, off to Verizon I go. e: Just checked to see what tmobile is offering for unlimited high speed... $50 simple choice + $45 unlimited So basically I'm saving $25/month with my current grandfathered plan. ijii fucked around with this message at 04:26 on Apr 2, 2016 |

I technically have a data cap but it's a very local private ISP and the guy is scared of me because I breed big-rear end German Shepards for a living (he's terrified of dogs lmbo) so I don't hear anything when I download like a terabyte's worth of games and pornography in 3-4 days.

It's really loving stupid that people force all this data through high friction copper networks as some kind of national proxy network (aol 2 or whatever) and then all the customers have to pay electric on this bullshit. You gotta pay a goddamn company for an infrastructure you already paid for with taxes and pay them to force that data through a copper pipe so your poo poo can be tapped by police. And everyone is probably paying about 20 or 30 dollars indirectly to the police every month so they have the capability of doing that.

I've read that if you blow through hundreds of gbs several months in a row they yell at you, start limiting your dl speed and possibly disconnect you if you ignore all that. Thing is it's really hard to blow through that much data on a cellphone unless you are using it for shitloads of torrents or on it all day every day. As long as they keep the soft cap within reason I'm a happy camper. Having come from verizon, getting nickled and dimed every time I turned around, I've been enjoying paying far less and not have some jerks constantly trying to cornhole me.

Up here in Canada it's like Mad Max except instead of gas it's mobile data. Like $25/month for a gig. I know folks who have tried to do some crazy schemes to get US plans with T-Mobile because it's actually cheaper to roam non-stop with a US phone up here than to have a Canadian cell phone plan. Plus like it's usually $10 more to not incur long distance charges outside your home area. Basically pls annex us already and get us cheap phone stuff.

Cable/mobile/internet in the US is for some reason one of those things you can still barter about if you are forceful. It's loving stupid. Time Warner raised my rates a second time like a year after the original introductory period ended by like $15/mo, I called them and sternly said I don't want 20 email addresses and 10 gb of "cloud storage", I just want my old bandwidth speed back for the same price I was paying, and like 10 minutes later it was sorted. You shouldn't have to play fuckfuck games like it's some sort of used car lot. It's like if the grocery store sold milk for $1 but only on Tuesdays, but if you really insisted and kept asking, they'd sell it to you for a dollar any day of the week.

I haven't had internet in the home in almost a year. I accessed websites by parking on the street outside of businesses that I have patronized in the past and using their wifi from my seat in the car. Maybe 15 minutes a day. Two days ago, I strolled into a T-Mobile store with a smartphone and told them I wanted unlimited everything. I've used like 4 gigs in the last 48 hours! I have internet all the time, no matter where I go! It's completely insane! And I am not even going to get a bill for like weeks! How the hell do you people live like this? What am I supposed to do?
