DS has a ton of Castlevania influence so I think it should count.

The WiiWare exclusive Castlevania the Adventure ReBirth is drat good as well. I played a bunch of Castlevania games that I hadn't played last year and loved almost all of them. They were:

Castlevania
Simon's Quest
Castlevania 3
Super Castlevania IV
Bloodlines
Castlevania 64
Circle of the Moon
Portrait of Ruin
Lament of Innocence
Adventure ReBirth

Out of all of those the only ones I didn't really enjoy were Castlevania 64 and Super Castlevania IV. I love this series.

I'm currently playing Curse of Darkness and I'm always playing OoE.

I only played Aria of Sorrow of the DS ones, despite owning Portrait of Ruin and a flashcart. I gotta fix this.

its a little assy. i havent had too much trouble until this stage 12 boss which requires a manueverability that i dont feel like i actually have which is annoying.

If you can make it to him with holy water it's much easier, but that's basically a crap shoot with those flea guys and then the dragons.

If you're skipping II because you think it's bad, don't bother with The Adventure. It's awful.

tfw you accidentally hit the save state button instead of the load state button and are stuck in a terrible hosed up situation and have to redo the entire level again.

In Training

i had to use save states on death as well. hes a real motherfucker, but i figured since i could get to him reliably without dying i didnt want to replay all those other levels. especially since he wound up orbably taking me 20 tries.

I had to start using save states for the bosses in the second half or else I probably wouldn't finish the game. It's cool though. Think I'll wrap it up after dinner.

It's funny because even if you don't get lost and know what you're doing in 2, the game has like three bosses, two which you can skip and of course Dracula who you can kill before he even moves.

I still like Simon's Quest, tho.

I nearly gave in on Death's level but I stayed strong. I probably had to use about 20 continues.

You're more powerful than me. Death is a real son of a bitch. The hallway before him is no joke either.
