"The Scream"
Edvard Munch

Oil, tempera, pastel and crayon on cardboard

The Scream is the first record of someone hearing another person say "I'm an ideas guy!" to their interviewer after asking a question about their design experience.
Notice the elongated expression as they listen to someone go on to explain that they have no actual experience in the field they want to enter.
The recruiters in the background are seen exiting to the left, as to show their disdain and accepted fate to their own positions, gleefully torturing the subject in frame.

Don't you just hate when you wind up in a store with people who are in a socioeconomic class that is pretty obviously about two levels lower than your own?

already the cover of The UNIX-Haters Handbook

did I ever mention that ESR showed up on UNIX-Haters at one time to try to set them straight? went about as well as expected, I think JWZ got off at least one sick burn.
