this is a thread where u can post gaming websites that have interesting or hard to find info about games. i dont mean sites like ign or siliconera but stuff like hardcoregaming101 and the cutting room floor. i could maybe add website links to the OP if the mods would like to sticky this thread http://www.hardcoregaming101.net - lots of stuff about old and obscure (but good) games. plus a lot of articles where they write about the history of a franchise. pwnage web site IMO https://tcrf.net/The_Cutting_Room_Floor - lists cut content from games that people have found by digging through the code and stuff like that

http://www.actionbutton.net/ I don't like all of the reviews on here but their manifesto of the best games of all time is pretty cool. And I like Tim Rogers' particular brand of insanity that leads to him writing 18,000 words about FFXIII and then giving it 2/4.

http://themushroomkingdom.net Mario site that's been around forever with lots of info and stuff like sprite sheets and music. there was a cool site called 64DD.net that shut down or something that had manuals and commercials for a bunch of old Nintendo games. Some of it might still be in the internet archive.

goferchan posted:Yeah I like this. The Sims Online review is always really funny to me I was literally just rereading it. Very funny stuff, he meticulously lays out the bizarre and insane structure of f2p mobile games and eventually calculates a value of people's lifespan in terms of Simoleans and such. It's very cool "Then there are “lifetime points”, which are a weirder type of currency, because they don’t seem to have been thought through as well. “Lifetime points” will let you buy new “traits” for your Sim. Buy the “ninja” trait, and your Sim will throw his hands behind his back and dash everywhere instead of walking."

there's that one site where someone makes a giant, dystopic megacity using sim city 2000 and describes the game logic behind it being the most optimal city design possible, but i can't find it. it's pretty cool though.

Sent in by Dan Quakin' Craker would be the boss of the game. He would be on the same ship as the real boss. He would look like a big duck, and sometimes he would jump off the ship and land somewhere else. He would spit out baby ducks (only 1 at a time), and the longer you wait to kill them, the more powerful they got. They would start out the same as walking Kremlins, then start snapping their beaks like the alligators, then start jumping up and down, then they'd go back to walking but only Donkey can kill them, then they would become two baby ducks. You kill Quackin' Cracker himself by jumping on his feet five times while avoiding being pecked. Growler would be another animal helper that Donkey and Diddy ride on. Growler would be a tiger that could be as powerful and fast as Rambi, and jump as high as Winky, and also his eyes would glow in the dark for levels like "Blackout Basement" or maybe "Torchlight Trouble." He would be a white tiger with black stripes, and his glowing eyes would be neon green.

Donkey Kong Country 3 Sent in by Angelo Steve Buff Kong has the strength of ten men and he has muscles the size of barrels and can lift three enemies at the same time his clothes are a muscle T-shirt and blue short-pants his voice sounds like a Homer Simpson kind of voice. Sent in by Caitlin Wolfinger Patch the Guinea Pig is a wise and friendly guinea pig that loves to eat. He is also very good at hiding in small places. He also tricks the bad guys by looking so still and non-threatening.

There are a whole bunch of different competitions, and tournaments you can play, and win, but the ending is always the same, even when you beat the FIFA World Cup, which is some what odd. When the game is over, is shows the player running together, and the camera zooms out, and you see the winning team (if that's your team) holding the trophy and jumping at the center of the field. Then it shows the 12 starting player posing for a team picture, and they all have a medal hanging from their necks. After that, it show the game data, just like it does after every game, and it returns you to the title screen.

lmfao the ff6 characters Name: Matio Height- 5' 9" Weight- 145 Age- 19 Skills- Swordweilding and some white and black magic spells. Along his journey he meets up with Terra, Locke, Edgar, Sabin, Gau, Cyan, Shadow, Celes, Umaro, Gogo, Setzer, Mog, and the rest. But tragedy strikes near the end when Kefka kills his mother. He says that he must avenge his mothers death by killing Kefka with Sabin, Celes, and Shadow only. In the end only he is left with Kefka laughing at him. While Kefka is laughing he picks up Sabin a uses a life spell. It does not work so he Picks up his sword and yells out a technical move that no one has ever heard, Diamond Slash. The sword turns to diamond and he stabs it into Kefka and kills him. He stands there with the blood of Kefka on his sword. What will this do that poor mans mind. Will he turn into a killer himself or just go on living his life? Who knows.
