Kinda funny given that bit's straight out of 2014, it's how Godzilla kills the female MUTO. Always thought that was a particularly fun brutal moment, it's practically a Fatality. I'm not sure how many kaiju movies have particularly memorable monster kills, the Monsterverse certainly makes an effort.

Look deep within your shell
The original King Kong has one of the most iconic monster kills ever when Kong rips a Tyrannosaurus Rex's jaw apart. G14's kiss of death itself is a direct callback to that with a Godzilla flourish on the end.

gamera both showa and heisei has some great kills, chopping and burning and drowning his enemies

Yeah Showa Gamera had way more explicit violence and gore compared to Godzilla.

Children do love blood and guts, as long as they're shed by the deserving.

Actually kinda funny seeing a retraux take on the MUTO being a a combination of the male and female, given it's a major part of their characterisation in 2014 that they're a tag team, and Godzilla defeats them by separating them and using different tactics.

'How do you kill it' always seems to be a question that comes up with monster movies, answered in many different ways, but it can be tricky to do it without being an anticlimax.

I have never been very impressed by any American Godzilla comics not drawn by James Stokoe, but I might be willing to give this one a try

Looks like they’re a fan of Witch From Mercury.

Did you see Tom Scioli’s Monsterpeice Theater? He’s one of the absolute best contemporary illustrators in comics.

I have some really good news about the Netflix Gamera series for you! The show is outright, no holds barred, kaiju on kaiju murder. Gamera is here to kill any motherfucker threatening the children, no questions asked and no range limitations respected (when you get to the scene of the controlling committee of the psycho conspiracy having a meeting that ends in cackling over their evil triumph... you'll know what I mean). The fight choreography for all this is excellent

I really like the cast of characters in this one, kids and adults both. Personalities and motivations get complicated without being unrealistic. You get to see a lot of characters you like, or at least want to know what they're up to, dealing with a rapidly escalating crisis.

Fun stuff. If you love kaiju movies, I can't see why you wouldn't love this.
