sponges posted:What is the worst Godzilla movie? Final Wars for me. It ended up being one of the most disappointing movies I've even seen ( and I saw it the same year Revenge of the Sith came out). Way too much focus on the human characters, even for a Godzilla film. I was hoping for some good, interesting monster fights, but those mostly ended up being Godzilla going through and one-shotting most of the other monsters. What I had hyped up in my head of what it would potentially have didn't deliver, and just ended up being a big bummer for me.

Repeating that the human plot line is dumb, but goddamn are the fight scenes fun. Kong getting airlifted the rest of the way to Antartica as a nod to KKvG put a big smile on my face.

I moved about a half year ago, and I've been slowly working on getting stuff to not have my walls be blank masses of white.   Godzilla, Biollante, and MechaG went up today, while Megalon, Titano, and Hedorah have been up for a few months, back when they lined with the now moved TV. Gabara has to wait to hang with the rest since the art store was out of frames. The artist who made these was super nice and sent me an extra Legendary Burning Godzilla, I have to figure where to put him as well! I saw this Thursday at a late night showing in 4DX and had a blast. Theatre was pretty full, everyone sounded like they were enjoying themselves, people cheered when Kong and Godzilla charged Shimo and Skar. It was actually one of the best movie expieriences I've at a regular theater. It's very much a Showa era film and the 5-year-old in me enjoyed it. Also, I really like Skar King as a villian. He has a bit of swagger and menace to his character, and thought it was cool having another tool user kaiju.
