Silvergun1000 posted:I've got a few accounts I've been doing the daily 10-rolls on, got a couple that are looking good so far. One's got Eugen, one's got Korwa. At this point with what I've gathered from what you've guys have told me, I could just ticket Petra on the Korwa account, grind out Siete and be pretty much set right? I'd keep the Eugen account, personally (assuming you're not totally F2P forever - if you are, then there's not really much difference). Korwa can be surprise ticketed later, Eugen can't. $25 gets you Korwa and a ten roll in the future - if you wanted a guaranteed Eugen, you'd have to spend quite a bit more.

Okay I'm here to ask for a poo poo ton of advice. I'm kinda leaning toward playing again, I've been fiddling with it the past two days and having fun again. I've talked to people in discord, and I've basically been informed that the goal is now to raise EVERY team and not just pick one or two. So I'm going to post my boxes and talk about what I originally had planned and ask if I should stay the course or change plans. If I play regularly again, my goal with team building is high end hard poo poo, obviously. I can read the tier list, but I don't really know how to assemble competent teams. I don't mind spending money on surprise tickets if I get back into the game regularly. My water grid was my only really developed grid. I had mostly ignored everything else. I have a little dirt and wind but it isn't much to talk about. Here's my water characters and grid: I primarily ran Superstar, SSR Kat, Altair, Lance in the frontline, with Charlotta and Sophia in the back. I've been told multiple times that I'm set on water SSRs and to be happy with my lineup, so I am! I don't really remember what my long term goals with this team were other than to keep improving them and the grid. I like Superstar. I don't want to play not-superstar unless a fight calls for it. Here's my fire characters. I have no fire grid. I wasn't going to play fire at all. But I have some good units. I know Aoidos and Percival are great, and apparently Aliza is really good if the team is chewing up Wind. Which is the whole point of developing everything anyway, so... If I ticket anything for fire, it'd straight up be Yuel, yeah? What are some common team compositions for fire? What MC classes are popular here? Here's my earth characters. My grid is minimal: I got a Tezcat. gently caress yeah. I've heard this thing is fuckin' amazing. I know Ayer and Sara are amazing. I have a single axe for Sarasa but it isn't 3* because I quit mid-GW when I was going to max it out. Discord told me to ticket Hallessena and some other advice but I forgot what it was, so I'm not sure who else warrants tickets. Same question on team comps and MC classes above. I know Sarasa is the queen of farming, but would Okto be a better choice if aiming for top end content? Here's my wind characters. My grid is minimal but still better than my dirt. Korwa was the last thing I ticketed. I had a plan for wind before I quit: Get the casino summon, ticket Korwa and Petra, get Siete (i have a 3* sword sitting), go from there. I see Carmelina is apparently really good now, and I know Rosetta is situationally amazing. So much has changed that I don't know what to do with myself on this. What should I be aiming for with wind? Is my original plan good still, or should I be looking at something else? Gawain seems particularly nutty. Same team comp/MC question as before. Here's my light characters. Grid doesn't exist. I'm kind of hosed on light. I know Amira is good and Sophia is useful backline for res. I also know Amira goes well with Korwa as an off-element buffer. So yay. But I know I pretty much need to ticket some light characters to fill this out. Please tell me what to do with light because I have no loving idea. Dark. If I thought I was hosed on light, I'm really double hosed on dark. I don't even want to talk about dark. My first dark SSR was new Zeta. I'd pretty much need to luck into an entire team or ticket each piece one at a time. Should I even care about dark with how far from playable it is for me? Anyway, I know I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. As I said above, I am having fun but I don't know if I'm truly getting back into the game. But at the very least, someone can hopefully learn from my questions too. Aside from teams, is there any other general advice since I've last played? Is there a list of changes to the game? I saw things like halved journey drop prices, cheaper Hards, Casino being less poo poo, and various other things here and there.

I mean, even though the eventual goal is to be super powerful in every element, you still have to build it up slowly. There's nothing really pulling you to another element. I'd just let the gacha decide what you're building next before making any big choices.

Don't worry about ticketing more characters. Use your water team to host every magna during magnafest. Weapon grids are more important than characters, and your water grid is strong enough to quickly build up the other elements if they stick to the almost monthly magnafests. Plus it would be dumb to spend money on more characters if you end up quitting again.

To be fair, if I survive til the next Surprise Ticket I'm prob playing for a while anyway. Plus I';ve spent $25 on worse things. I'm waiting for the remaining 60 free pulls before I truly decide though.

You still want a strong main grid to do most content with and farm side grids. quote:Here's my earth characters. My grid is minimal: For endgame content and to take advantage of Tezcatlipoca you want a team with three character races. Because almost all worthwhile earth attackers are human or draph, the field for these is crowded and the MVP racing teams typically don't use either Sarasa or Okto. For solo content Sarasa is excellent, I can't vouch for okto. Typical HL raid teams use one or more autoattack buffer (Mahira, Korwa and Halloween Eustace) to support autoattack attackers (Ayer, Hallesena, Siegfried). I mostly play Sparta to avoid Halle taking damage. The newest dirt SSR, Razia, is reportedly good in the draph spot, and opens more offensive options for the MC. quote:Aside from teams, is there any other general advice since I've last played? Is there a list of changes to the game? I saw things like halved journey drop prices, cheaper Hards, Casino being less poo poo, and various other things here and there. Guild Wars have been reworked significantly. There's now 3000 crews qualifying (up from 2400) and a b-league GW for numbers 3001 to 5000 that gives less valour badges. They've shifted the main grinding focus away from eyeballs and VH dog to the nightmare raids that are now unlimited. So now the game is spending pots on the hardest extreme difficulty to host the raid for your strong element members to blow up. It's a lot less AP intensive but costs berries instead. The vice MVP system in raids has been reworked so that 3rd place gets an extra chest like 2nd place place(either a normal gold one, a flip or a red chest), the host red chest is better than the MVP/vice/3rd place one.

Is Okto not good for endgame? I'm actually working on that katana right now. I currently have Eugen, Ayer, Mahira, Siegfried, and Sara for my Earth lineup. Was thinking of running Okto, Ayer, Mahira for the separate races.

I mean, the game's not all about MVP racing. I'm generally too lazy to MVP race, and I'm getting Okto cause he seems super neat.

Okto is cool as hell, and they are probably going to announce 5*s for GW characters in the anniversary stream this weekend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4a6zfXA53HI

I might just be bored of Eugen but he doesn't seem that great outside of his autoignition and uplift?
