Been messing around with Aba in training mode (No matches here yet, it's 7 am lol). NM keygrab in the corner gives an automatic MM safejump. Super wall break gives an automatic IAD safe jump in MM. Also, as in the clip above, after MM throw in the corner you can OTG c.S into a safe jump. NM jump is significantly floatier than MM jump so safe jump timings are different. Her NM parry seems to have about 6 or 7f of startup. Edit: Keygrab is at least +2 ob because after that she can ch Sol's 5K with her 4f 2P. Idk if you’re joking but rewiring your brain to leverless can take a pretty long time. I got one months ago and still have to make a ritual of mentally repeating “down is up, thumb is up,” among many other things. Some things are easier but I am honestly still worse than I was in most respects.

I got the cheap haute42 keyboard like leverless with the wasd layout on the left. Aside from being hilariously small and awkward to play with on your lap, it wasn't tricky to get used to thanks to muscle memory from playing on m+KB for a lot of games. Also playing guitar for a shitload of time has made my left hand coordination pretty insane so doing half circles wasn't that much of a learning curve. Haven't played against another person with it, but it feels perfectly fine in training mode for me so I'll try to get some games in at the local this weekend. But with shipping and taxes it came out to $25 and is about the size of a modern day smartphone. Build quality is decent but I have no idea how to transport it other than in the box it came in.

Roll your thumb from forward towards up rather than from up towards forward. Forward registers as an action you can cancel into 9 jump but you can't steer an 8 jump forward if that's the first command you send.

The only way I've been able to make diagonal jumps work consistently on a pad is using 8-direction controllers that have diags mapped to their own button. I hate to keep plugging the OG slim Saturn pad, but it, and others like it, really has been the last pad I've ever had to buy (at least for PC).

Pretty much any long running thing has it happen. Like, poo poo, I've seen more positive about Final Fantasy 16 since Rebirth came out than I have in the entire leadup.

That’s why the og hitbox and a lot of them use a bigger button for it. Left, down, and right are grouped together cause it’s really fast to get the fireball motion out. You may find the wasd layout better if hitting up with your thumbs isn’t intuitive.

The discussion is actually quite mind boggling to read through lol. For an old competitive game I'm surprised there's so much agreement on avoiding players of certain characters. Like straight up disconnecting before the match starts.
