after buying it it seems real good to me so far story mode is bad VN garbage as usual but there's singleplayer arcade mode and good tutorials/challenges

Having thought about it I think a lot of the reason I prefer BB to GG is... the neutral in GG feels considerably shorter to me? Like you're in neutral for a few seconds and then someone's in a vortex or being combo'd. BB has strong pressure as well but not as much and with more varied ways to wake up(direction, timing) means it's easier to get back to neutral. And I like spending more time in neutral. Less knockdown/oki(aside from a few characters who I think are all getting nerfed this next patch). it's so, so weird to have someone acting like they're not fighting with their tits practically flopping out and their skirt flipping all over the place. I think characters like in skullgirls which are just straightforwardly sexual somehow give me less of the "a weird older guy designed this" vibe

It's extremely difficult to tell where a character is looking without the arrows with how the weapons are not necessarily pointing forwards, or in the same relative direction depending on what you're doing(I think? like sometimes wizard hat guy's sword is pointing back, offset a bit to the side. other times it's not). And that's with the zoomed in view. The second image with the wizard hat guy and no hud, until he attacks I have no idea which direction he is facing.
