It looks hype as gently caress but the balance is wildly off right now and it needs revisions  Lots of characters in Smash have a counterpart with the same moveset with the only difference being that they are little faster.

Thirteen Orphans posted:I was teaching some beginners about fight games. It was their first time trying to just not hit buttons and pray. I started them on Samurai Shodown because they liked the aesthetics of it best. I had them try the quarter-circle motion. The thing that took them the longest time to adjust to was the square-gate and where forward/back ends and up-forward/up-back begins. All in all it was a good session. I think next time I’m going to get them to learn footsies.
